Things had been pretty mechanical for the last few days. Life was being lived in something of a haze for the two of them, Alhena occasionally giving them a wakeup call.
But one day, everything smashed into Mia like Vane crashing into the ground.
She simply didn't get out of bed one day, leaving Draco to fend for himself that day.
She just curled up under the covers, softly crying in her pillow.
Ruthless.
She was so ruthless in the war.
And she was so selfish towards Draco.
She deserves this.

"While we're out, would you like to see the springs? They're not a hot springs, but they are lovely."

She nods and, indicating with her hand, says, "Just a few steps north of the village, to the eastern side. On the west side of the village is Dyne's Monument."

"I suppose we have to walk?" Draco remarked idly as he smoothed down the front of his robes, tucking his wand in a pocket.

She pulls on her shoes and ties them, then stands, smoothing down the front of her own robe.
"Ready to go?"

Walk? We go out?
"Guess we can't stop her joining us, eh?" Draco remarked to Mia as he scritched the wolf cub's head. She certainly was growing a lot. Got a ways before she'll be as big as Moon's, but getting there.

Some scritches from Mama before they go outside.
Not far is the town square, where a crowd has gathered around Alex and Luna. Mia makes her way through a middle and there is the sound of joyful greeting and the sight of the two young women hugging.
Nall has been resting on the base of the statue of Althena, but flies up to see about the commotion.
"Hey, Mia! Draco!" he greets in his squeaky voice.

Nall flutters down a little to be face-to-face with Alhena and says, "Hello," in response to the bark.
Alex gives Draco a nod of greeting.
Quiet, but with kind green eyes.
What is it about those heroes and their green eyes?

Alhena leaned forward to sniff at Nall with interest.
Kitty? Smells a little like one.
Draco pasted on a smile for Luna at that for the reminder, "Thank you, nice to meet you formally, Luna."

Nall scowls at Alhena and says, "I'm not a cat."
Alex smiles brightly while Luna says, "We're sorry that we didn't speak to you before. Will you be attending the Burg festival?"
"We would be happy to have you," the former Dragonmaster quietly adds.

Alhena sniffed toward Nall again, Not kitty? What are you?"

Nall puffs out his chest and proudly says, "I'm a dragon."
Luna crouches down, making kissing sounds to bring Alhena closer.
"And who is this cutie?" she asks.

"That's Alhena," Draco remarked, "It's a tradition in my family to name after stars. Means shining or bright. Obviously Mia liked the name as well."

"Will your family be coming to the Burg festival?" Nall asks in all his insensitivities.
Mia looks a little concerned and goes, "Nall...."

He then said, "Going go get some air." And walked a little distance away from them.

"What? What'd I say?" Nall asks.
"The wrong thing," Luna replies, a scowl on her face.
Mia goes after Draco, staying a few steps away from him to give him some space.
"They don't know. I didn't tell them, didn't tell anyone here. Nall can be insensitive at times, but he honestly didn't mean any harm."

There's a rather long pause before she adds, "I'm sorry."
In the end, it's her fault.
If it wasn't for her, he would still have his family.

Another pause, and then, "When do you plan to go back to get your things?"

"Do you want me to come with you?"
Because she does.
