Milliways: Draco and Mia's "Sorry We Eloped!" Wedding Reception

So, the problem with eloping is that people feel left out.

And people feeling left out makes Mia feel guilty. Not to mention Draco doesn't seem to mind a big party celebrating them.

There's plenty of cake, room for presents, and even some brooms and Quidditch supplies.

Everyone, and we mean everyone, is welcome!

Outside, there was a white archway, enchanted with some paper doves flying about and flowers trailing up along the trellis. Come in and greet the couple.

Dodging a particularly low dove, Artemis pops over for a moment to say hello to the couple. "Hello, Mia. Draco. Congratulations."

Somehow, someway, Salazar Slytherin has found them out.

"Master Draco! I must make apologies for missing your nuptials!" Salazar Slytherin, accompanied by the missus, but sans baby, makes his way through the arch toward the lovely newlyweds.

"Master Salazar! It's been ages!" He smiled back, and hurried over to bow to him, and salaam as well. He then beckoned Mia over as well.

"And that's because we eloped, hence this party. Mia, you remember Master Salazar, correct?"

The gift table was dressed in pink and green decorations, and enchanted to make sure there was plenty of room to hold all gifts of any size. And there was a small wooden tree as the centerpiece for placing any cards.

Artemis slips quietly over to the table to leave a gift: a bottle of Grand Siècle (http://www.laurentperrierus.com/lacuvee/index.htm) with a simple note, wishing the couple congratulations, tied about its neck.

Two pieces of simple parchment, one tied with silver ribbon, the other with pink, are laid upon the table carefully.

The silver ribbon has the name "Master Draco" etched on one end, and the pink ribbon, "Lady Mia"

Each parchment is a voucher of sorts:

Draco's entitles him to trips to any exotic local (in Salazar's time of course), for any reason, be it formal, informal, educational or otherwise.

Mia's parchment grants her complete use of Lady Madaeze's servants, baths, kitchens et. al. at any time, day or night.

And sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, there he is, porking out by loading up his plate like food's going out of style.

The food is not exactly what Salazar is used to, however, he partakes in a bit of each.

The Lady Madaeze, however, "watches her figure".

"Hm, I do think I shall change a bit of this, ah yes, better." Salazar chuckles a little to himself.

Mmm. Absinthe.

If there wasn't music before, there certainly is now! Wild carefree music of the forest singing from notes played on a flute.

Pan always loved a good time outside. Especially for Midsummer.

Lady Madaeze flows gracefully through the meadow, listening quietly to the music of nature. She can quite taste the fresh air, the birds sing so softly...

My beauty. Salazar follows her closely with his eyes, not wanting to disturb her, but wanting so much to reach for her.

Quidditch game

Anybody feeling limber? The clearing can double as a pitch, and there were some brooms and supplies to anybody who wants to have a go, and learn some Quidditch. A practice game, but still sure to be fun!

It seems the bride is ready for some flying. She goes to the brooms and picks out her Nimbus.

She kicks off and gracefully zooms through the air.

It looks like her lessons with Ginny have paid off.

Brooms in Salazar's time are, to say the very least, uncomfortable.

So it is a look of agitation that he casts upon the brooms.

Madaeze isn't even going to try.
