After helping Dominic fight the virus spell, Mia was exhausted.
And in pain. Getting slammed into a wall and having sharp virus teeth grate across your back can do that to a person. Not to mention it left her robe in shreds.
It wasn't long after the battle was over (the battle that used all of her starlights) that Mia learned that the virus had indeed affected her: for now, and who knows how long it would last, her magic was gone.
She's only half-certain about what Draco's going to do when he finds out she can't use her magic and that the cause was a virus spell, the latter being where she's half-uncertain. She fiddles a bit with the ruined robe as she thinks. The more she thinks, the sleepier she gets.
Before Draco comes to their room for the night, the robe is discarded in a corner and she pulls on a modest nightshirt. At least this way, there's some barrier between his hand and her back should he think to hold her. She doesn't know what will happen if he touches her wounds, nor does she think either of them wants to find out. She carefully climbs into her side of the bed, feeling as though she could drift off to sleep at any moment.
But she would like to wait for Draco so that she can kiss her husband goodnight.

"You asleep already, darling?" He came closer to kiss her cheek as he climbed into bed on his side.

.....well, awkward, at least. Hopefully that will be it.
But then, it doesn't feel awkward right now, with him beaming so bright at her.
She kisses him back and says, "Not yet, but I am tired." He gets a sleepy smile when she adds, "I wasn't about to go to sleep without a kiss from you, though."

She knew that, even though the pain had mostly faded, it would probably hurt since it's sore to touch.
She still wasn't ready for it and couldn't entirely hide her wince.
"You could say it's been a long day."

"...Mia? Are you hurt? What's wrong?"

She pushes her hair back a little.
"There was a fight in Milliways. I had to help out Dominic."

And can he stab them or hex them? Pretty please?

She moves to lay down on her stomach, permitting him to carefully pull up the back of her nightshirt to see.
"It doesn't look too bad, but don't touch it directly. This wasn't an ordinary monster and it's left me with some side effects."

"Don't touch it? I might have a potion or a salve... What side effects, Mia?"

"...No magic? Are you sure?" You thought he frets over papercuts, you've seen nothing yet.

"I don't think it will be permanent. Dominic seems to be the one infected with the virus, judging from what he said during the fight. It barely touched me in comparison."
He did say he was trying to get it out of his head.
"I'm sorry that you have a muggle wife for the time being, dear."
She smiles a little in a tired way.

"You said you might have something for this, though?" she asks. "It's not the one that tastes like bad butter, is it?"
Because she'd rather live with the pain than swallow that again.

Another smile.
"Thank you for putting up with this, and wanting to help."

"Either way, it's something to worry about in the morning, isn't it? I don't want you staying up all night for my sake."

"Can I still just hold you while we sleep? I'll be careful."
From:

"Of course. I know you'll be careful with me. I trust you, darling."
There's a kiss to his cheek.
"I love you."

After a few minutes, there was a very faint voice singing.
"Ooh, I need your loving...yes you know it's true."
If she tells anybody later, he will deny it completely, but right now, they're alone, and he's just helping his wife get to sleep. >.>

That was worth every silver piece she paid.
There's a very faint voice singing back, "Hope you need my love, babe...just like I need you."

A little bedtime duet before they would eventually fall asleep, and one more kiss to her head.
"Night, luv."
